Taste of Williamson to offer evening of food, friends, fun
Feb. 23, 2017
Looking for a unique outing with friends or that special someone? Spend an evening enjoying live music and sampling some of Williamson County’s best restaurants at the 2017 Taste of Williamson, presented by Nissan and sponsored by CoolSprings Galleria.
This year’s event, set for March 5 from 7-9 p.m. at CoolSprings Galleria, will feature up to 40 local merchants offering some of their favorite menu items. Thanks to a wide variety of participants, guests are certain to find plenty to please their palates. During previous events, guests sampled items ranging from barbecue ribs to specialty cheesecakes to gourmet salads.
More than 1,500 people attended the event in 2016.
Taste of Williamson is now in its 15th year, with CoolSprings Galleria partnering since the beginning. The event raises money for United Way of Williamson County–funded programs aimed at improving lives and strengthening communities by focusing on removing barriers to learning, reducing burdens of financial need and supporting the community’s most vulnerable.
“The United Way brings together many community partnerships that provide help and solutions to enrich people’s lives,” said Rebecca Vest, Nissan vice president of Corporate Development and Social Responsibility. “Nissan and its employee volunteers are proud to support this event, which provides valuable support for the United Way and its partner agencies.”
Tickets cost $35 in advance or $40 at the door and are available for purchase at United Way of Williamson County and its partner agencies, guest services at CoolSprings Galleria or online. Net proceeds from ticket sales go directly to the selling agencies and help support each program’s mission to serve the community.
“We’re so grateful for the support of our sponsors, participating merchants and volunteers who make this event happen,” said Pam Bryant, president and CEO of United Way of Williamson County. “This is a great example of local businesses coming together to raise money for initiatives that make our community stronger.”
Following the event, ticket holders can keep their stubs to use at participating restaurants during Restaurant Week (March 6-11) for 10 percent off their purchases (some exclusions apply).
This year’s Taste of Williamson is made possible through the generosity of the following additional sponsors: State Volunteer Mutual Insurance Company, Alphagraphics-Franklin, Coca-Cola, WSMV-Channel 4, 96.3 JACK fm, Mix 92.9, i106.7, Publix, WAKM AM950, BiG, Home Page Media Group, The Williamson Source, Shuff’s Music & Piano Showroom, Tractor Supply Company, Robertson Media Group/Your Williamson, Williamson Herald, Home Instead Senior Care.
